Storytelling Circle

  • Free Event the 2nd Thursday Every Month!

Join our new host Ron Polimeni Thursday Afternoon in the Otter's Den for a good ol' fashioned Story Swap. Sit for a spell, learn how to share your own stories, or listen to those who can spin a yarn.

Sit in a circle and pass short stories around. Children's tales. Tall tales. Family stories. Special memories. Changing times. Imagination and Flights of Fancy. This is a time for telling. It is not a performance. It is a safe space to play. All styles and skill levels are welcome. Practice for performance or reminisce for pleasure. We are all of us "Once Upon a Time....."

Ron Polimeni: An old time race driver once observed that the primary reason for racing cars is to generate stories. To that end I've been involved in motor sport all my life. 25 years spent behind the wheel of tractor trailer trucks had much the same effect as the race driving.   Retired now, I'm attempting to pick up where I left off 50+ years ago as an illustrator and writer.   I'll be depending on the current members to show me the way. I thank you for giving me the opportunity to work with you.
