How to Grow Medicinal Mushrooms
Sharon Briggs, owner of Peasant's Parcel, a sustainable mushroom farm in Capon Bridge, will be at Herb Club to teach us how to grow mushrooms! She will tell us about her local small business and how she brings fresh mushrooms to the community. Go home with new goals of growing your own mushrooms!
Meaghan Thompson-Moore from Blooming Mountain Botanical Gardens will share about the medicinal uses and preparations of medicinal mushrooms you can grow at home.
The River House Herb Club meetings are free and open to everyone. Bring a friend and a mug for tea. Donations gratefully accepted.
The River House Herb Club is free and open to everyone. On the 4th Sunday of each month we meet from 1:30-3PM at the River House in Capon Bridge, WV. Local herbalists provide free education on growing herbs, using herbs as medicine, making herbal products, etc. Each class offers tastings, demonstrations, and recipes. All ages and experience levels are welcome. The Herb Club also sponsors a Little Free Seed Library for exchanging seeds. It is located at The River House next to the Otter’s Den.
