We have expanded the vision for the Poetry in the Afternoon club to encompass all types of writing. Our mission is to create a space for budding and established writers to gather together to share their experiences. In addition, we will be featuring guest speakers and book signing events. Everyone is invited to attend. We look forward to seeing you there!
Writer’s Club will be held on the 3rd Sunday of every month.
The Writer's Club will host guest author, George Constantz, who will be reading excerpts from his books along with answering questions and signing his titled works available for purchase in The River House Cafe.
Author Spotlight:
George Constantz founded Cacapon Institute, a nonprofit organization dedicated to conserving Appalachian rivers through science and education. Since receiving a Ph.D. in zoology from Arizona State University, he has worked as a park naturalist, a teacher of biology and environmental science, a fish ecologist, researcher, and writer. Currently, he manages the Education Program at the Canaan Valley Institute.
