Fiddler Fair integrates traditional old time music, songs written by Ola Belle Reed and Earl Montgomery, and original music from Dakota Karper. 'Fiddler Fair' features Dakota Karper (Fiddle, Vocals) with guest musicians Joe Herrmann (Banjo, Guitar, Vocals, Triangle, Hands) and Joe Fallon (Guitar, Bass).

The jam will be led by fiddle teacher Dakota Karper, fiddler and owner of The Cat & The Fiddle Music School.

Starting at 1pm we are going to start off with a slow jam specifically geared to beginning students/musicians though all levels are welcome to come participate. We will be playing slow and will be playing songs like Boil Them Cabbage Down, Angeline the Baker, Barlow Knife, Buffalo Gals, Cripple Creek, Soldier's Joy and Old Joe Clark just to name a few.

Then, around 2:30pm, we will kick it up a gear to a fast jam. Beginners are still welcome, but the music will be played faster and may be more complicated.

This event will take place outdoors in our art yard or in our covered, open air Otter's Den depending on the weather.
